Bliss is the intense pleasure of being in harmony with your heart’s highest desire
What is it?
BlissDance is about the music, the people, and co-creating the ideal setting so you can totally let go and dance like nobody’s watching...
Blissdance is a free-form dance - that means no learning steps, nobody’s looking at you, so you have absolute freedom to dance like you would in your bedroom – all the while supported by a tribe dancing alongside you.
We put a lot of care into choosing the space and creating the perfect vibe to help you move in whatever way feels authentic to you.
The music is crafted for you to first ground yourself in your body, before gently raising the tempo in a way that encourages you to stay fully present as the beat brings you into pure flow-state.
Why dance?
Even when we get stuck in our heads – anxious, self-conscious, or unsure - we can learn to use the music to find our centre again. The wisdom of our body and heart always leads us back to Bliss – our childlike seeking spirit to Go and Explore again and again…
Doing this as a regular practice can build remarkable resilience in our daily lives.
Blissdance is that safe space to tap into the creative spring of absolute potential inherent in our lives while building a community to support us on the journey.
And when you're totally Bliss'd-out you can rest in a deep-healing Sound-Bath to integrate all the emotions you've danced through.
Leaving you pure Bliss’D to bring your greatest Self back to the world...
“When your body is in a state of true bliss, the harmony and coherence of this healing frequency in the autonomic nervous system is profound – body, mind and spirit naturally find their optimum order. This is where miracles happen.” Dr. Joe Dispenza

Brian Keane
Sound, music, movement and dance have been my teachers and therapists since childhood. I have 400+ hours on the dancefloor practicing Somatic Experiencing, Movement Medicine, Open-Floor Practice and 5Rhythms.
I’m a trained facilitator working with a range of groups every week, along with more than fifteen years’ experience as an event and festival organiser, DJ, and music producer. In my Buddhist practice I chant a mantra for an hour every day, and have done for more than ten years.
The word mantra means ‘that which heals’, and what has truly prepared me to offer Blissdance is I’ve danced my way from one dense reality into the lightness and freedom of bliss.
Complex childhood trauma, PTSD, and addiction left me in a proper mess by the time I turned 30, and talk-therapy seemed to cause more distress and pain. It was then I rediscovered my bliss back on the dancefloor.
I’d spent my teens and 20’s throwing shapes in clubs and festivals – often as the organiser/promoter - my body always knowing what it needed, even when I believed alcohol and drugs were necessary to enjoy myself.
Several sober years on the dancefloor and I discovered levels of joy and creativity I’d never previously known.
This taught me my most important life lessons:
- The greatest gift life has to offer is to be truly myself, no matter what!
- To live this I must put aside the question: What will they think of me?
- Discovering my bliss means taking chances, trying new things.
- To be happy, I must do what makes me happy!
I also learned that healing and facing personal development challenges doesn't have to be painful and lonely, it could be fun and supported by a tribe.
It became clear too, I wanted to be dancing all my days, and to offer the same opportunity to my community.
Blissdance feels like a natural extension of my true self. It brings me great joy to be part of something that helps others access their bliss and change their lives.

Healing with the vibration of sound has been a core aspect of my life since before I can remember. As a child experiencing anxiety and stress I intuitively practiced self-healing by humming and singing to soothe my nervous system.
During my spiritual awakening in 2016 sound, colour, and the beat of the drum supported my system at many levels while I journeyed through my two-year Dark Night of the Soul.
Soon after I met Brian and our shared Nichiren Buddhist practise. Daily mantra chanting, working with movement, guided visualisations, and the natural world changed my life in the most beautiful and joyful ways.
I've over 10 years facilitation experience - especially with students, young people, change-makers and acitivists - supporting people to navigate emotional blocks and limiting beliefs to activate their own bliss.
In 2020 I began my radical ministry training with the Onespirit Interfaith Foundation where I've been deeply initiated into the transformative art of ceremony, ritual-creation, and spiritual counselling. I will be ordained in July 2022.
Currently offering monthly guided sound journeys and 1 -1 sound sessions in Cobh, I support people's self-healing inquiries to access their deepest states of full-body relaxation.
Working with a variety of instruments, including the drum, Tibetian singing bowls, Tam-Tam Gong, and my own voice, I help clients move deeper into the blissful dimensions of their own lives through both light and shadow.
When we fully relax we allow our body, mind and soul to alchemise. From here we access Bliss - a whole new vibrational dimension filled with abundant freedom, joy, and creativity.
These practises have transformed my life and it's my pleasure and privelage to facilitate this work with Brian in our community.
We're looking forward to seeing you soon!!

Mel & Brian
